Charitable status

Law in Schools is incorporated as a charitable trust board pursuant to the Charitable Trusts Act 1957.

Board members

Simon Kellet: Simon has been involved in Law in Schools since 2009. He studied law at Victoria University and Cambridge University. He practices civil litigation at Izard Weston.


James Little: James has been involved with Law in Schools since 2009. He ran the Wellington programme in 2010 while working as a Judge's Clerk at the Court of Appeal. He is currently completing his masters in law at Cambridge University.


Grant Morris: Grant is a senior Lecturer in Law at Victoria University of Wellington. He is: the author of Law Alive: The New Zealand Legal System in Context; the co-ordinator of first year legal system course; and teaches legal history, jurisprudence and alternative dispute resolution. His research areas include New Zealand legal history and law and literature.

Catherine Fleming: Cat was involved in the establishment of Law in Schools in 2007. She has studied at University of Auckland and University of Oxford and now works in the human rights team at the Crown Law Office.
