The Rt Hon Justice Susan Glazebrook, Judge of the Court of Appeal, is the patron of the Law in Schools Project.
Justice Glazebrook holds a strong interest in promoting the right to education having been instrumental in writing the reference on the right to education for the Asia Pacific Advisory Council of Jurists. Law in Schools benefits from her advice and advocacy.
The Project was founded in 2007 by Jane Standage (Barrister and Solicitor - LLB Hons) and Catherine Fleming (Barrister and Solicitor LLB Hons). It commenced its pilot year in 2008.
Jane Standage graduated in 2007 from Victoria University with LLB(Hons) and was awarded the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. Jane was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2007. She was a Judge's Clerk in the New Zealand Court of Appeal in 2007/2008 and is now working as a barrister at Thorndon Chambers in Wellington.
Catherine Fleming graduated in 2008 from the University of Auckland with LLB(Hons)/BA. Catherine was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2008. She has received prizes for law and history while at university. She worked as a Judge's Clerk in the New Zealand Court of Appeal in 2007/2008 and is now embarking on post-graduate study at Oxford University.
The Directors of the Law in Schools Project for 2009 are Matthew Windsor, and Marcelo B. Rodriguez Ferrere.
Matthew Windsor graduated in 2008 from the University of Auckland with LLB(Hons) / BA, and received prizes for Law and English while at university. Matthew was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2009. He is currently working as a Judge's Clerk at the Court of Appeal of New Zealand.
Marcelo B. Rodriguez Ferrere graduated in 2008 from the University of Otago with LLB(Hons) BA. Marcelo was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2009. He is currently working as a Judges' Clerk in the High Court of New Zealand, Wellington Registry.
